Qatar has begun to prepare for the inaugural FIFA World Cup 2022TM to be held in the Middle East and Arab region.
A number of Gregg Berhalter’s Group B contenders arrived at the Hamad International Airport on Thursday evening, among the first players to arrive in Doha.
It was Berhalter’s turn in the past week to announce his squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. He has named 26 players on his roster to face England, Wales, and Iran.
Having played in their 11th FIFA World Cup in 2022, the US finished third at the inaugural edition of the tournament in Uruguay in 1930, when they were co-hosts of the tournament.
Among the first batch of FIFA World Cup stars to set foot in Qatar were Jesus Ferreira, Sean Johnson, Aaron Long, Jordan Morris, Walker Zimmerman, Kellyn Acosta, DeAndre Yedlin, Cristian Roldan, and Shaq Moore, and hundreds more are expected to arrive in the coming days as the 32 participating nations prepare to compete for the greatest prize in football.
The USA’s quest for the FIFA World Cup2022 cannot come soon enough for Berhalter.

The USA can expect rousing support in Doha under Berhalter. Most tickets for the tournament have been purchased by Americans, followed by Qatarians.
Coaches revealed their squads to compete in world football’s biggest event over the past week, and the entire football world watched in delight. FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his delight at the hoopla.
